Manuel Jose Cabral dos Santos Reis, Ph.D

Received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and theM.Sc. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Aveiro, Portugal.Currently he is Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering of University ofTrás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal. He is also a researcher at the Center ofTechnological Studies for Environment and Life (CETAV) of UTAD, where he is the director of SignalProcessing and Biotelemetry group. His research interests are in the area of signal processing, andinclude modelling and approximation, and problems such as sampling, interpolation, and signalreconstruction.

 Salviano Filipe S. Pinto Soares, Ph.D

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University ofTrás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal in 1991. He obtained the M.Sc. degree in Electronicsand Telecomunications in 1995 from University of Aveiro (UA), Portugal, and the Ph.D. degree inElectrical Engineering in 2003 from UA. Presently, he is an Assistant Professor an Department ofElectrical Engineering, UTAD, and also a researcher in the Signal Processing and Biotelemetry groupat the Center of Technological Studies for Environment and Life (CETAV) of UTAD. His main interestarea is digital signal processing.

 Antonio Luis Gomes Valente, Ph.D

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University ofTrás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal in 1994. He obtained the M.Sc. degree in IndustrialElectronics in 1999 from the University of Minho, Portugal and the Ph.D. degree in Microelectronicsin 2004 from the UTAD. Presently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of ElectricalEngineering, UTAD. He is also a researcher in the Signal Processing and Biotelemetry group at theCenter of Technological Studies for Environment and Life (CETAV) of UTAD and he is involved in theresearch of silicon microsensors for agriculture.

 Miguel Alves Fernandes

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Trás-os-Montese Alto Douro (UTAD), Portugal in 2005. He is pursuing its Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineeringexploring and characterizing the concept of the wireless farm.
